👉 Spots are limited. Applications opening soon!
We’re deeply committed to real-world readiness—not academic box-checking. Frankly, we’ve become dissatisfied with the limitations of traditional MSEE programs. Most graduates we meet still require significant retraining to meet industry needs. That’s why we built this bootcamp: not just as an educational offering, but as a pipeline for talent we may ultimately hire.
Why This Bootcamp?
For over 20 years, Western Semiconductor has trained over 1,000 MSEE students and interns. Our graduates go on to lead in the semiconductor industry, thanks to one thing: real, hands-on design experience.
Unlike traditional companies, our students don’t just verify—they design, build, and ship.
Now, we’re scaling that success.
We’re taking everything we’ve learned and turning it into a powerful new format:
A 360-hour, full-time in-person bootcamp in Tempe, Arizona, designed for current students and recent graduates who want to level up fast and launch their careers.
This bootcamp gives you full-time, immersive training—just like the pros. You’ll use real EDA tools (including our proprietary analog layout accelerator) and work with expert mentors in a studio-style environment. No fluff. Just skill.
Choose Your Path
5 Specializations. One Industry-Focused Bootcamp.
Each path is a 360-hour, full-time commitment designed to get you deeply skilled, fast. You’ll master core concepts, build a working design portfolio, and graduate with real-world skills—not just class notes.
🌀 Basic Analog Design
Learn the core of precision: current mirrors, amplifiers, layout, and noise. Work hands-on with real analog building blocks and get layout experience using advanced automation.
đź’ˇ Basic Digital Design
Master combinational and sequential logic design, finite state machines, and synthesis. Build digital systems from concept to gate-level implementation.
🧠RTL (Register-Transfer Level) Design
Dive into Verilog/SystemVerilog, simulation, and synthesis. Build real-time logic for FPGAs and ASICs. You’ll go from RTL coding to full design verification.
🖥️ Basic Computer Architecture
Understand how computers work under the hood. Explore instruction sets, pipelines, caches, and memory systems by building a simplified processor core from scratch.
🚀 Advanced Computer Architecture
Take your architecture skills to the next level. Learn multicore design, branch prediction, speculative execution, and performance tuning. Build and optimize complex architectures.

Why It’s Different
Built by Engineers, for Engineers
Most companies give you limited access to design tasks due to IP concerns. That’s not how we work.
At Western Semiconductor, you’ll design real circuits using real tools—including our proprietary EDA platform that automates the most complex part of analog layout.
What normally takes a year, you’ll complete in a month. This is industry-grade training in a startup-speed environment.
This isn’t theoretical training. It’s the same hands-on, creative, and rigorous process we use internally to evaluate and grow engineering talent. Many of our past trainees have gone on to become full-time engineers at Western Semiconductor. While we don’t guarantee job offers, we actively consider top performers for roles on our team.
